Experiential Simulation Across Learning Modalities

Research shows that “learning by doing” is highly effective and, as such, experiential simulations are a popular learning methodology. Yet, how can we effectively integrate such simulations into our physical and virtual classrooms? What about other learning modalities like field instruction or executive education? This workshop will present and demonstrate various approaches toward integrating experiential simulations (i.e., kinesthetic-based and electronic-based) while giving examples of how to structure your pedagogy around this age-old teaching approach. Time permitting, ways to develop your own simulations may also be discussed.
