In recent years, experimentation has been a primary choice by industry professionals for evaluating the causal effect of changes in strategies on a variety of different performance outcomes prior to the application of the new strategy to the masses. Apart from a set of scientific challenges, these professionals also face unique contextual and engineering problems. In this workshop, our goal is to highlight the unique problems that both industry and academic scientists face and how these professionals overcome these challenges. The workshop will feature a panel with Shan Huang (Senior Applied Scientist, Zalando), Galib Rustamov (Advisor, Southern California Edison), Ovunc Yilmaz (Assistant Professor, University of Colorado).
