2026 DSI Annual Conference - Leading Through Uncertainty: People Processes and Decisions
57th Annual Conference
November 21 – 23, 2026 | San Francisco, CA
Leading Through Uncertainty: People, Processes and Decisions
Welcome from the 2026 Conference Chair
Welcome to the 2026 DSI Annual Meeting
On behalf of the Program Committee and the Decision Sciences Institute, it is my distinct honor to welcome you to the 2026 DSI Annual Conference, taking place in the vibrant, and beautiful city of San Francisco.
San Francisco! The name immediately brings to life the fog rolling over the Golden Gate, the clanging bells of the Hyde Street cable car, the aromatic bustle of the Ferry Building, and the tech-fueled pulse of SoMa. This city has long been a sanctuary for those who look at the horizon and see opportunity rather than obstacles—making it the perfect laboratory for academics and practitioners alike. It is a city that doesn’t just endure change; it defines it.
As we look toward our 2026 gathering, our theme “Leading through Uncertainty: People, Processes, and Decisions” feels remarkably at home here. We find ourselves at a global crossroads where the speed of innovation often outpaces our frameworks for managing it. In an era defined by shifting geopolitical tides, the rise of autonomous systems, and a reimagined global workforce, uncertainty is the only constant. How we anchor ourselves—through resilient processes and human-centric leadership—is what gives our work its profound meaning.
Come join us as we navigate the fog together, turning ambiguity into insight and challenges into collective strength!
As a participant in the 2026 conference, you can expect to enjoy the following:
- Numerous receptions and social events designed to help you reconnect with old colleagues and build new, lasting partnerships—all set against the backdrop of one of the world’s most beautiful cities.
- High quality invited and sponsored sessions featuring highly respected researchers, educators, and practitioners.
- Keynote Plenaries featuring pioneers in decision sciences and industry leaders from some of the most adaptive organizations.
- Opportunities to scout out the job market and/or the talent pool.
- Discipline-based and inter-disciplinary tracks that address research, pedagogy, educational technologies, and more.
The 2026 DSI Annual Meeting will be held at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis, located at 780 Mission Street. Nestled in the heart of the Yerba Buena neighborhood, the hotel offers doorstep access to the Museum of Modern Art, world-class dining, and the soaring views of the “View Lounge.”
